A: G7 is smaller, warms up faster, and is easier to apply. Both are accurate. G7 is 60% smaller and warms up in 25 minutes compared to G6 which takes 2 hours before readings are available. Also with G7, you don't have to buy a separate transmitter since each sensor comes with an embedded transmitter.
A: Generally yes. Small differences can happen right after insertion or during fast changes in blood sugar. Some of the earliest versions in 2022/2023 had some fluctuations in accuracy but that has been long since resolved.
A: Omnipod 5 adjusts insulin automatically with Dexcom G6 and G7, while Dash and Eros do not. Omnipod 5 is more like an electronic pancreas since it can be used closed loop with Dexcom glucose readings.
A: A prescription is required in the U.S. Rules may differ internationally but generally a US prescription is required for Omnipod 5 since it has many automatic settings and requires more training to use it properly. We do have a US doctor to help with registration for our international customers.
A: Yes, recently Insulet added the ability for the Omnipod 5 app to work on both iPhone (iOS) and android phones. An Omnipod 5 Controller is also another option.
A: Generally yes, they are safe to use a few years past the expiration date. Since all items come in sterilized packaging, there is a very small risk of aging batteries being weak. They are significantly less expensive (20-40% less than unexpired items) and we fully guarantee them to work (refund or replacement guarantee). This option helps make managing your diabetes more affordable and many customers have requested and rely on the use of expired products to manage their health. But as always, it is a personal preference and decision.
A: Yes! We ship to many countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, South Korea, and Japan. The only exception is no shipping to Mexico. Delivery times usually range from 4-7 business days using DHL or UPS typically.
